- With the financial support of Operation Round Up, Gordon-Wascott EMS was able to purchase 2 portable capnograph units for our First Responders who arrive on-scene ahead of the ambulance crew.
These units are used to measure the end tidal carbon dioxide and respiration rates, which allow for confirmation of an advanced airway placement during CPR. The capnographs measure end tidal carbon dioxide and respiration rate, and have the ability to recognize the very first signs of Return of Spontaneous Circulation (ROSC).
While our ambulances are equipped with capnographs, our First Responders who arrive before the ambulance did not have these units. We were also able to purchase airway adapters which are required for use of the capnographs. The aount of funding received from Operation Round Up was $4,319.00.
Gordon-Wascott EMS purchased the 2 capnographs on May 11, 2021. The members of Gordon-Wascott EMS are very grateful for the financial support from Operation Round Up in helping us purchase these much-needed supplies, and will put them to use immediately!

Mission Statement
Providing ambulance service to the residents and visitors of Gordon and Wascott since 1958. Staffed by nationally registered and state licensed Emergency Medical Technicians with the support of skilled Emergency Medical Responder (1st Responders). Working in cooperation with all area hospitals and advance life support helicopter services to provide AFFORDABLE emergency and non-emergency transport and medical care.
Under the medical director of Dr. Jonathan Shultz. There are two fully equipped ambulances in service 24-hours/day, 7-days/week, 365-days/year. Each ambulance is equipped with an Automatic Defibrillator Unit. Both units are ready for emergency and non-emergency transport and medical care.
